Dear Customer,

My name is Manjiri, and I’m the heart behind our small, local kitchen. Originally from Mumbai, India, I moved to Uppsala a few years ago with my husband, Kedar, whose support has made this journey possible.

I grew up in a community where food is our love language — cooking and sharing meals was how we showed care, comfort, and connection. When I came to Sweden, I wanted to bring that same feeling of warmth to the people around me.

Inspiration

After the wonderful start of Namaste Uppsala, I felt inspired to create homemade snacks for the same community that welcomed and supported us so generously. Sweden — and especially Uppsala — has encouraged me to experiment and develop recipes that are not only flavorful but also made with thought and care.

The Swedish fika tradition, with its focus on slowing down and sharing a cozy moment together, has been a special inspiration.

I love the idea of creating snacks that can be enjoyed during fika — whether with friends, family, or a quiet coffee break. Each snack is handmade in small batches, right from our kitchen, with a blend of Indian flavors adapted so everyone can enjoy them — from kids to grandparents.

This is more than just a business; it’s a cozy, local venture built on community. Your feedback means everything to us and helps us grow and improve. We’re always happy to hear from you — whether it’s a message, a call, or an email. We look forward to getting to know you and sharing our homemade treats with you.

With warmth,
Manjiri
